Expanded Capacity in Poland – with Quality and Flexibility
Since 2007, we have built up a strong and competitive production setup in Poland.
At J&J Steel, complex welding tasks are carried out with high quality, great flexibility and full traceability – as an integrated part of our deliveries from Engskov Maskinfabrik in Ringsted.

High-Quality Structural Welding
The Polish production facility has now moved to larger, newly fitted premises to strengthen Engskov’s position as a trusted subcontractor for industrial companies with high demands for quality, efficiency and delivery reliability.
Our subsidiary, J&J Steel Poland, specializes in high-quality welding of larger and labour-intensive steel structures in carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminium. The factory is equipped to handle components weighing up to five tonnes.
A significant share of Engskov Maskinfabrik’s total welding hours is carried out here, while machining, assembly and other processes take place at Engskov in Ringsted and with fixed, certified partners.
“It is crucial for us that the Polish production has the same level of quality as in Denmark – and that we maintain full control of the processes,” says Jes Gravesen, CEO of Engskov Maskinfabrik, adding:
“In my experience, Polish welders are both skilled and hardworking. And with Polish management, we have, since the very beginning in 2007, built a production setup where responsibility, quality and efficiency go hand in hand.”
The factory in Olsztyn operates under Factory Production Control (FPC) and holds certificates issued by TÜV Rheinland in EN 1090-1, 1090-2, 1090-3 and ISO 3834-3. Selected employees are also certified visual inspectors (VT2) and qualified in Penetrant Testing (PT) and Magnetic Particle Testing (MT). The welding supervisors are certified International Welding Specialists.
New, Larger and Better Production Facilities
Since its early beginnings in 2007, the production facility in Poland has grown steadily over the years and has outgrown its premises several times. Today, the team in Olsztyn consists of 36 employees, and after moving into new and larger facilities, space has been created for further growth in the years ahead.
“Following the latest relocation, we now have 1,800 square metres of storage space and nearly 3,000 square metres of covered production space with 26 welding stations. In addition, we have modern cranes, efficient extraction systems and improved staff facilities – all with a focus on the working environment, ergonomics and productivity,” explains Mariusz Kocak.
Mariusz has been part of the Polish production setup since its beginning in 2007, when he joined J&J Steel as a welder, and since 2013 he has been responsible for daily operations as Production Manager.
“In the new factory, we have also established better facilities for changing rooms, showers and the canteen. That matters a lot to skilled employees. But it also matters that Engskov is making long-term investments in the factory here in Olsztyn. That creates security and motivation,” he says.
An Integrated Part of Engskov’s Deliveries
“We work very closely with our colleagues in Ringsted and plan production from week to week. We know each other well and can react quickly if changes or new tasks arise,” says Mariusz, supplemented by Sales Director/CSO Mark Sørensen:
“For our customers, the capacity in both Denmark and Poland means that they get one integrated business partner with shorter lead times, high delivery reliability and full transparency in quality – also in complex and time-critical projects.”
“Our strength lies in offering customers an attractive combination of quality, flexibility and price optimization. At the same time, we continue to invest in modern facilities and good working conditions. We want to ensure that we remain an attractive workplace for skilled professionals in both Ringsted and Olsztyn – now and in the future,” adds Jes Gravesen.
